Holding the opportunity of preparation for Olympic Games, we accelerated the trinity construction of Olympics venues, Shunyi New City and Chaobai river renovation, innovated the management system mechanism, as a result, urban and rural environment has been improved obviously, city development was speeding up promptly and the image of New City is coming to us vividly.

Speaking of transportation construction, the road length and the density of road network reach 1,787 Km and 1.75/km2, the main roads extends in all directions, such as airport express way, Jing-cheng express way, the sixth ring road, Jingmi road, Shunping road and so on, Daqin and Jingcheng railway cross through Shunyi, the Dongzhimen airport light rail is just in process, so the diversified transportation system has been formed. In power supply, a rational power supply network has been established, the supply capacity reaches 2 Billion Kwh and the substations above 110 Kv reach 18. We can say, the power supply capacity can meet or exceed the demand of economic and social development.

The length of natural gas pipeline network reaches 600 Km in total; the peak supply capacity is 270,000 m3. In water supply and drainage, 9 large scale water plants have been established, the water supply pipeline reaches 750Km in total and supply capacity reaches 150,000 Ton per day; we established one sewage disposal plant and it can dispose 80,000 Tons of sewage per day. In forestation, the ratio of green space reaches 38.08%, greening coverage reaches 41.5% and public green space per capita reaches 23.47 M2. In garbage treatment, we can dispose 600 tons garbage per day and realize the standardized treatment of domestic waste management, say, “collected by country, transported by county and disposed by district”, and the harmless treatment ratio of regional garbage reaches 100%. In telecommunication, the total capacity of exchange reaches 290,000; the number of fixed telephone user is 220,000，the popularity rate is 41/100 people. The optical fiber network and cable TV covers whole district. In postal service, the length of postal accessible area reaches 2,785Km.

We established four kinds of construction mode: driving by city (industry), upgrading reconstruction, reconditioning and environment renovating etc, new-country construction was launched on full scale and these countries show us fresh appearance. Strengthening the city management legally, rectifying environment order and management of land, atmosphere, transportation, rural and urban environment construction, we adopted popularity rate administrative, economic and legal methods, solved lots of difficulty in city management, built a more harmonious, ordered and beautiful city environment, and give a powerful guarantee to city construction and economic development.

According to “Beijing General Layout (2004~2020)”, Shunyi is just “key connection point of eastern development zone, one of three new satellite cities in Beijing”, we are mainly responsible for developing modern manufacturing industries, airport material floating, exhibition , international communication, sports and recreation, etc. By 2020, population of Shunyi New City will be 900,000 , the planed land cover 162 Km2 ,”One airport, two river, three district ,four town” will become to be the development center of Shunyi and Northeast of Beijing.
